We have recently purchased a 36' Grand Banks and will be bringing it down the Intercoastal from Great Bridge, VA to Tampa, Florida. We plan to take it across the state by way of the Lake Okeechobee Waterway. The Waterway has been closed due to lock repairs, but we have been told it will reopen September 4th. We were just wondering if anyone had any information that might be useful to us regarding this route. Thanks.

Great website on the Okeechobee Waterway! Thanks! We are still being told that the Okeechobee will be open for traffic on September 4th. The boat starts its journey home on Saturday!
